United States Marine Corps · 2001 — 2008

Where the discipline was formed.

Before the boardroom, there was the Marine Corps. Prashant volunteered two days after September 11, 2001, and rose to Sergeant as a supply chain manager responsible for keeping Marines equipped, supplied and ready.

Service

Readiness was the only metric.

As a supply chain manager, Prashant oversaw procurement, transportation and inventory for units operating in some of the most demanding environments in the world, where a missed delivery was measured in readiness, not revenue.

The work demanded planning under uncertainty, fast decisions with incomplete information, and absolute accountability to the people depending on it. Those lessons became the foundation of his corporate career: resilience, risk management and leading teams when the stakes are high.

After a medical discharge, he returned to New Jersey and started again, working overnight unloading trucks at Target while completing his degree. He carried the same discipline from that first shift to the executive team.
